- I received 20 SMS for friendship day merely 2 weeks back and 2 for I-Day. Seems I have more friends but less Independence.
- My Kashmiri friends who studied together with me in a college in New Delhi 4 years back, now see India as an outsider and want a free Kashmir Country. Seems suddenly their "Dual-Standard Indian blood" started boiling.
- In his I-Day speech, our PM himself admitted that inflation is out of control, still wants the CWG to celebrated as a national festival.
- An ex-sub-inspector throws a shoe at the J&K CM. Just realized from where do terrorists get so much courage.
- Bihar CM wants a package from the Centre for the drought relief in his state. As if he hasn’t been provided with enough relief packages already.
- Delhi CM apologizes for the inconvenience caused due to construction due to games but says nothing about the corruption behind the games.
- The Red Flag has raised its wings up to an extent of extreme violence and terrorism. Still the Centre wants to talk to them and ‘Amicably’ resolve the issue through non-violence and peace talks.
- And the best of all, most of my friends including me were quite unhappy with the fact that 15th Aug 2010 was a Sunday. Alas! We missed a paid holiday.
Independence was a dream for my great grandfather.
A dream turned into reality for my grandfather.
A reality turned into gift for my father.
And a gift turned into a just ‘another paid holiday’ for me!!!
Is this what is left with us. How can a country whom we call mother, which has not yet celebrated its 65th anniversary has so many "good for nothing" children who just need a chance to accuse, condemn or kill their own brothers and sister.
Isn't it a food for thought friends....???
